By Asap Jung — DENNIS — The Select Board is considering changing the town's beach sticker policies following complaints from seasonal residents who say they pay higher feesand can't use resident-only parking lots.

More than 20 people participated via Zoom videoconferencing in the board's Tuesday meeting. The agenda had set aside time for public comment about the various eligibility requirements for beach stickers.

A resident sticker currently costs $50, a sticker for seasonal residents is $180 and a non-resident sticker is $360. The resident sticker carries special parking privileges.

According to the town of Dennis website, there are five beaches with resident-onlyparking: Bayview Beach in Dennis, Cold Storage Beach in East Dennis, Harborview Beach in East Dennis, West Dennis Beach (east lot only) and South Village Beach (south lot only) in West Dennis.

People at the meeting offered a variety of points of view, but the consensus was that the current sticker policy unfairly discriminates against seasonal residents.
