By Gabrielle Caracciolo NBC 10 News — Charlestown, RI — A years-long battle over Rhode Island's shoreline access ended with a changed law.

Signed by Gov. Dan McKee last week, it lets people exercise their shore rights up to 10-feet landward of the visible high tide line.

That line is recognized by seaweed, shells, or other debris left by the tide or the wet mark from the ocean.
