Quick presentation to the Panel regarding the Block Island Sea Level Rise Committee
Panel Discussion with members of the state’s Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council (EC4) regarding opportunities for addressing sea level rise and other climate change impacts on Block Island:

Next meeting: July 5th, 2022
Following the meeting, we will be touring several sites of concern for sea level rise and climate change including:
- drive through Bridgegate Square and discuss its low elevation,
- then up Corn Neck Road to the Beach House (STOP #1),- Scotch and Mosquito Beaches (STOP #2),
- the end of West Beach Road, to top of walkway for west side dune, marsh, and erosion discussion, as well as the Transfer Station (STOP #3),
- return down Corn Neck, right on Beach Ave to discuss pinch points to inner ponds & BI Power, past police/fire/rescue, to Center Road to
- second bluffs, not SLR but fresh-water erosion, also influenced by climate change (across from the end of Pilot Hill Road; STOP #4),
- return down Spring Street and leave them in Town.
We are trying to identify a van for the guests and folks are welcome to use their own vehicles or carpool to meet us at the stops.
